The new, award winning Shark LAP jacket - a lifejacket combined with Air Pocket Plus, reduces the number of items which offshore personnel have to don.

The LAP jacket has been developed as part of a project for BP and ConocoPhillips, which won the prestigious 2002 Spirit of Innovation award. The project has involved extensive testing including environmental and thermal performance trials at Portsmouth University, as well as user trials at NUTEC Centre for Safety, Billingham and RGIT Montrose, Aberdeen.

The 275 Newton LAP jacket has passed the relevant CAA tests and been approved to CAA Spec 5 - it has also been tested for compatibility with Shark and Multifabs survival suits and other items of survival equipment.
